This is AMAZING! I can't wait for dev's to crack down on this, and with Froyo pretty much up the same stability status as E2C was before it was dropped, and now with 2.3. I think I can be proud to be a Cliq owner (It only took a YEAR lol)

I personally will not be working on any 2.2.1 ROMs, only focusing on this 2.3 ROM, others will properly finish 2.2.1

Just in case someone was wondering.

Thanks for your time and work in making 2.3 boot on Cliq. This looks very promising.

Knowing this a very early build, its impressive we got it to boot with the touchscreen working. It feels slow but linpack says its running at a good speed. I feel proud enough at least boot Gingerbread to just leave it on my Cliq to show off to others, using my old G1 as a phone for a while.

Though I'm curious... Before it goes to the boot animation and the android generic font, it flashes the G1 boot splash. Why is it there out of curiosity?

@Saulcho009 its from an emulator (no code released yet), and I didn't change the logo.rle, plus isn't it funny!!

@Toxigenicpoem - Oh yeah... lol I forgot about that. It was just bizarre to find the G1 boot lol.

@Zerodead we're going to be using the Android source, not the emulator image for this one I think.

So your waitng for an official gingerbread image to come out?

Not an official image, I am personally waiting for the Gingerbread source code to be merged into the Android Open Source Project.  GingerCLIQ is currently based off of the emulator image contained within the Android SDK.  Having the source code makes this process much, much easier.
